Remember waaaaay back when I mentioned I was throwing my life partner a gender reveal party and the invitations that she picked out??
Well, we had that party many moons ago a little while back.
And I guess the reason why I am talking about it now, is because she might be having that little bundle of joy a lot sooner than we all thought.
Her due date was February 5th...however, she went to the doctor last Thursday and some pregnancy related things had happened she was dilated to two! Yes, TWO! Neither one of us could believe it.
And yes, I said that I was not prepared. What?!? I had things I wanted to get done for him and have not had the chance and I also thought I had about another month to get them done. Oh well. :)
We have been texting frantically trying to figure out what all has to be done before anything major happens!
So I guess now is better than any to tell you about the party, so you can be prepared for photo overload when the baby does decided to come. :)
The invitations I mentioned above, it was an ice cream social themed. The invitation stated that everyone should wear the color that they thought the baby was going to be. {Side note: because people knew that I knew, it was hard to decide what I was going to wear. ALL along I thought it was a boy, and so I wasn't really sure what to do. But everything turned out just fine. End side note}
WJ and I picked up the balloons earlier that morning, the box (in the top left hand corner) that I decorated the balloons were in. I made a chalk board frame that everyone voted on (there was some cheating involved there). There were mason jars on that same table that held lips and mustaches people could wear. I also made a boy/girl banner with onesies. And below that was another chalk board frame with "It's a...??" written on it, along with some ultrasound pictures. We enjoy finger foods, pink and blue kool-aid, and of course ice cream.
It was really fun and I think everyone enjoyed their time together. After we ate and visited awhile and pestered them to do the reveal, and played some games, it was time for the reveal.
It's a......BOY!!!!
Everyone loved this part!!! It was all quite and as soon as they opened the box everyone started clapping and laughing...it was awesome!
I LOVE that picture of Em running after the balloons looking up at them. She is going to be an awesome big sister!
Here are some funny faces for ya:
Baby E...I can't believe that your time is almost here. I am so thrilled that I will be meeting you so soon. You are going to be loved by so many and your parents are the best people ever. And not to mention, that big sister of yours, yes she will be your best friend until the end. You have a HUGE family waiting for you with open arms. So just take it a little easy on your momma (she can get panicky sometimes) and we will all be waiting for you to enter this world with us. I love you bunches already. And hopefully you will recognize my voice from all the times I have talked to your moms belly. Can't wait to meet you little guy, but take your time, no rush for you right now! :)
Loves!
